面向高速、高密度信息存储与高频移动通讯的国家重大需求,开展信息功能材料研究,包括自旋电子学材料、声表面波滤波器和磁声耦合器件。自旋电子学材料与器件是近年来发展起来的新兴学科方向,是继微电子、光电子材料与器件之后崭露头角、具有更为诱人发展前景的新型信息存储、处理和读出的材料与高新技术。射频滤波器是移动通信设备的核心组件,高世代移动通讯时代高速度、大通量的数据传输对滤波器提出了“高频率、大带宽、高功率、低损耗”的要求。通过学科交叉将自旋电子学材料与声表面波器件结合,探索自旋与声子耦合带来的新奇物理现象,研制弱磁传感器和磁电天线。

在国际上较早开展了反铁磁自旋电子学研究,阐明了反铁磁磁矩翻转的抗阻尼力矩机制,发现了反铁磁自旋霍尔效应;观察到交错自旋劈裂力矩效应,是交错磁体的原创实验通过晶体对称性操控实现了交错磁体及其数据读写性能的有效调控;全创新链地开展了声表面波材料与器件技术研究,构筑了新型多层结构滤波器;将磁性材料集成到声学射频器件,开发出低探测极限的弱磁传感器和小体积、大带宽、高辐射效率的磁电天线。科学出版社出版《自旋电子学材料与器件》专著一部。在Nature (1)Nat.
